Our home was pretty quiet when the kids were away at camp. We sure missed them! On the positive side, R and I got to spend some extra time together and there were not nearly as many dishes to be done.
Just a few quick iPhone snaps from an afternoon in Stillwater. Leo's Grill & Malt Shop came recommended by Veronica (photo on the left taken by R):
We had another fun time at Valley Fair. I maybe had a little less fun because I was recovering from surgery (six days prior) but still fun!
Here's a clip of Omri playing percussion in his school's spring band performance. I've always kind of wanted to be a drummer, so seeing him hitting a snare drum in this show made me very proud. He has good rhythm!
I didn't take a ton of photos, but Memorial weekend was nice. We grabbed pizza with friends:
Veronica was confirmed at our church on Sunday!
Well, we didn't get to Key Largo this year, but we did grab some dinner and take a walk in Minneapolis. There's nobody I'd rather go on a date with.
Omri had a good week at Camp Widjiwagan with his class last week. This photo was not taken there, but it captures the outdoor spirit!
Read more...Our brave girl auditioned for the Chanhassen Dinner Theater. The audition was held publicly in the rotunda of the Mall of America! Then she moved on to another round at the "The Chan" itself. We have not heard back yet about the results of that, however. It would be quite a commitment with four months of performances next fall/winter. We'll see what happens.
Veronica had a triumphant night last Friday. It was her first speech meet ever (she's been too busy with dance and voice lessons on Saturdays to attend any of the others). It also happened to be the class A section tournament. And she got first place in her category (Serious Interpretation of Drama)!
This was a highlight for everybody in the family... a day-long snorkel outing on a catamaran!
