CC2: Pickled

You may have seen parts of this one before, as some of it dates back to 2016. I had stopped my subscription to Adobe Premiere Pro for a few years and recently started a fresh trial of it, giving me the opportunity to revisit some open projects, including this goofy Cottage Cheese entry. The music (written and recorded by my friend Jonah) is probably the best part of it, not to mention a cute little Veronica and quick cameo from a short-haired Omri, so I am glad this is finally seeing the light of day.

CC2: Kix

This is a weird one. And that is saying something, if you've seen the other videos in my Cottage Cheese 2 series. The idea for it, more specifically the "whaddya whistling these days?" line, came to me in a dream, although it was in reference to a cigarette rather than a Tootsie Pop. That was a year ago, and I haven't been able to get the line out of my head since. There's poetry to that line. I recorded the soundtrack for this in 5-minute sessions at the end of two workdays. Enjoy!

CC2: Biopic of Jack

This one has been brewing for a while, but I still ended up rushing it at the end so that I could leave you with a fun video before another quiet spell begins on the blog. I may add on to and/or tweak it in the future because the ideas keep coming!

CC2: Jack Link's

Despite having had a good amount of time off around the holidays, I was still in a bit of a rush when I shot this, so it is far from perfect. That is the trend with all of these Cottage Cheese clips, and it's part of what I love about them.

CC2: The King Wants Tarragon

I haven't posted a Cottage Cheese sketch in a while, so here you go. I'm not sure anybody else will find this funny, but I sure do!

CC2: Smith Smith Improv

This may be a minor entry into the Cottage Cheese catalog, but it was quick and fun to make. Sometimes it's best not to over think these things.

A few words for Jack & Gloria

The four of us--and some special guests--wanted to say a few words to my Aunt Gloria and Uncle Jack on their 50th wedding anniversary, so we made this video. It has a bit of a twist ending... so wait for it.

Cottage Cheese Junior: Character Introductions

We will get to Easter photos eventually, but for now enjoy this video creation from Veronica, Omri, Elise, and Tyler. It's a sort of "next generation" rendition of my infamous Cottage Cheese series. They shot it last fall at my family's hunting shack and Veronica just wrapped up the editing over the weekend. They definitely had fun with it!

Announcing Cottage Cheese Junior

The kids are working on a spin-off of my Cottage Cheese video series. Here's the title card Veronica designed for it:

CC2: The Old Standby

This was originally meant to star me and another me, but let's face it, you'd rather see the kids... So sit on down with a jar of Kosher Dill Snack juice and enjoy!

CC2: A Plea for Peace

I have a shorter version of this that is slightly more bearable because there is less terrible singing in it, but it's also missing an appearance from Short Bread. You get to see the full, excruciating version!

This is going to be a part of a longer segment I'm working on, but I can't help but share this clip now:

CC2: Socké

Got another one for you here. I love the concept of this one, but I should have recorded a few more takes because it's definitely not perfect.

I have an alternate version of this that involves me talking to Omri instead of another version of myself. It's cute but made even less sense. Maybe you'll get to see it in an outtakes reel sometime down the line.

CC2: A Wager is Made

Here's another, simpler Cottage Cheese sketch that Veronica and I made (Omri is just off camera, eating a cookie of his own). While this may be less memorable than our previous one, you could argue it does a necessary re-centering of the series around its original style of comedy. Enjoy!

CC2: On Gas

Well, this is the kind of video I made because it had to be made, and now I'm not sure what to do with it. It's both an embarrassing low-point (for reasons you will see when watching) and also my personal favorite Cottage Cheese sketch so far, especially from a technical perspective. I'm either going to bury it in some more respectable clips to come or use it as the flagship video for my new business. In other words, it's a good one!

Also, I did the drumming in the intro and outro myself! I hope you like it.

CC2: The Naming of Things

Here's the latest Cottage Cheese clip. The pace of this one may seem a little slow, but the idea is to eventually split it up into separate pieces and spread them out over the course of the longer Cottage Cheese Part 2 movie. You'll see what I mean when we get there in a few more years.

CC2: Good on the Feet

This is a fun one, probably my favorite Cottage Cheese script since the revival began. It's not perfectly executed, but as I've said before it's more important to knock more of these out quickly than to perfect any single one of them. Most of the shots here were done in one or two takes, without reviewing the footage before moving on. I had to work fast because I didn't have the house to myself for long.

It leaves you with a bit of a cliffhanger about the fate of Bread Man, but don't worry. Obviously I'm not going to kill off such a valuable property :-).

One last thing: my blog will be quiet for the next week plus. Consider this video my final statement until then.
