It was a fun year!

Halloween Ball 2025

I was the official "roaming" photographer at the Upper Elementary ball at Omri's school. I feel weird posting pictures of other peoples' kids, so I'm keeping this minimal (leaving some of my favorite results out) and only showing faces in this group shot:

 

Every year my photos get a little further "out there," but because they are for Halloween, I wouldn't have them any other way.

Halloween seemed a bit off this year. The kids' plans to trick-or-treat with friends didn't work out, and their costumes didn't translate so well to the cold weather. They did go out for a little while together, but they were back before too late. They watched the movie Hocus Pocus, while R and I entertained a few friends around the fire. Maybe this is what happens as kids get older? Omri did have the Halloween ball at school a week earlier, and Veronica went to a costume party at a friend's house on Saturday evening.

These photos are of the famous "Halloween House" on our street that always attracts a lot of attention!

Halloween Ball 2024

I have attended the Upper Elementary Halloween Ball a few times in the past with Veronica. We had a year off, and now it was Omri's turn to attend! He went as Jake from State Farm :-).

I took about 150 photos of the event as the volunteer roaming photographer. We turned the lights up for this group shot.

Halloween 2023

Here's my Halloween photo dump for the year. It was a cold one!

The house down the street makes our neighborhood a Halloween destination:

 

We projected The Blob and The Nightmare Before Christmas onto our garage door this year.

V was not up trick-or-treating, so she hung out by the fire and helped hand out candy for part of the night. Some friends also stopped by:

I went as Donnie Darko this year (I wanted to try to recreate the still from the movie below, but I only had time for a quick selfie):

Halloween 2022

Halloween was fun this year. We had a happy ghost and a character from Ghenshin Impact named Sayu:

The weather was so warm that we didn't need to wear winter jackets over costumes for the first time in years.
