State Fair rejection 2026
I'm starting a new tradition of sharing the photo I submitted to the Minnesota
State Fair fine arts competition... since it will not be displayed at the State
Fair :-(. This year I decided to highlight my concert photography by picking one of hundreds of photos I have taken of the Minnesota Saints Chorale & Orchestra during their Lamb of God concerts over the years. I called it "Witnesses."

My dad turns 75
We went up north for a night to celebrate my dad's birthday and to enjoy some time on the lake.
My younger brother was there with his family too. Here Omri is taking a tube ride with his cousin Mason:

My mom also turned 75 (in February), so we were celebrating her too. A big Thank You to her for feeding this group of people!
It's not easy to get away for a weekend anymore, so I'm really glad we were able to get up there. Happy birthday, mom and dad!

She's Green @ Utepils
R and I got to see one of my favorite local bands, She's Green, on the patio at Utepils Brewing on Sunday. It was great!
I even picked up a copy of their new record and got it signed by the band:

Independence weekend 2026
We had a great Fourth of July weekend on Pleasant Lake with R's side of the family. I enjoyed seeing our nieces and nephews for the first time in a while!
Lucia recently turned one!
Alice followed Veronica around most of the weekend... they were super cute
together!
