Up the coast

We took last Friday off and drove north, spending two nights at an Airbnb rental just past Monterey.  It had a hot tub!

We met up with some east coast friends who were out west for a wedding.

They have an adorable two-month-old baby girl.

We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

And got there early enough to see them cleaning the windows:

The Open Sea exhibit was otherworldly.

When asked about holding the baby later on, V replied, "That girl heavy."

We took a long hike among the redwoods near Aptos, CA.

V was looking pretty tired (she fell asleep shortly after this photo was taken):
