Alaska trip, part 5: Petroglyph Beach

On Tuesday we took a walk on the north part of the island at low tide to look for ancient petroglyphs carved into the rock. Omri was excited to find some sea glass and started a collection.




Here are a couple petroglyphs on the rock that are thousands of years old (they look like cartoon characters to me):



I was probably more interested in photographing old buildings along the beach like these:



It was such a foggy, atmospheric morning. Loved it!



Alaska looks good on Nate.




Afterward we toured a museum of the island's history, an exhibit David helped design.


Cruise ships bring a lot of business to Wrangell.
