Alaska trip, part 1: Seattle

Okay, I'm doing my best to keep the numbers down in these Alaska posts and thus leaving out some good shots, some of which may surface as outtakes in the future.

We started our trip with a 24-hour layover in Seattle:

The city was hopping.

Cat buskers:

We'll be seeing more salmon soon:

Crumpet stop:

Being around so many people helped us appreciate the sparsely populated Alaska in coming days.

It's hard to get a shot of the Gum Wall without a ton of other people in it. It's also kind of gross, so this is all you get:

Veronica really liked the city and added it to her list of places she wants to live.

It was uncharacteristically sunny for the PNW.

We went to the top of the Space Needle:

Omri was feeling pretty brave on the glass floor:

Veronica and I toured the Museum of Pop Culture (while R and Omri explored a playground):

The guitars from Nirvana's Unplugged in New York recording:

More from the museum:

Street scene:

The line for the first Starbucks at 7:45pm:

Vegetarian dinner:

We met up with R's brother Nathan in the city before we all continued on to our final destination.
