Argentina meets Minnesota

My brother-in-law's Argentinian parents are here in Minnesota for the month of June. We all met up at Linda's place on the lake.

In the middle of Veronica's six-show run of Frozen Jr., she played one of the title characters in her school play, A Tale of Two Jacks. There were a lot of lines to memorize in this! And she did great.

Frozen Jr.

I can't even tell you how exciting it was to see Veronica perform as Hans in Ashland Production's Frozen Jr. musical. I saw the show three times and was really impressed with the scale of the production and V's talent as a singer/actor. There was just a lot of great energy all around. Thanks to everybody who came out to watch!

R turns 43

Well, it was kind of a low-key birthday for R because of work and Veronica having a three-hour play rehearsal in the evening. But the positive side of it being on a Tuesday was that we could celebrate at our regular Taco Tuesday night out with some friends. I brought cupcakes.

She seems pretty excited about her new Airpods:

Mother's Day 2023

Our tweenager didn't make it to our bed for our usual Mother's Day tradition of bringing R coffee and taking a look at updates to the Mother's Day journal, so we went to her bed instead! (You can catch a glimpse of the new headboard Grandpa Rak built for V in this photo too.)

The day started off rainy but ended up being quite nice. We had a take-and-bake brunch from Colossal Cafe, planted some plants, cleaned a car, and relaxed a bit too. We are thankful for the Mother's in our lives, including our beloved R.
