South Dakota, Badlands part 2
We went back to the Badlands the next day.
We went back to the Badlands the next day.
It is impossible not to stop at Wall Drug on the drive from MN to the Black Hills. There are billboards for it every 100 yards along the freeway.
The Badlands were impressive! We showed up late in the day and stayed for the "night sky program" put on by park rangers. Unfortunately, clouds obscured our views of the Milky Way.
We took a road trip to western South Dakota. Our first major stop along the way was the Corn Palace in the town of Mitchell. I would say it is a bit overrated. We went inside too, but I didn't even bother to take photos in there.
Read more...We had four tickets to a St. Paul Saints game, but Veronica and I ended up participating as extras in a TV commercial shoot instead, so we had to split up again, allowing room for Omri to bring a friend.
We had a great time at Valley Fair the other weekend! Omri's friend (and the inspiration for Omri's hair cut) came with us:
Not a great photo lighting-wise, but the bus was coming so we didn’t have time to fix it!
Omri was involved with a play too! I agreed to record this class project about
the gold rush in California for the parents who couldn't make it. Omri was
mostly working behind the scenes, in charge of queuing all the music, but to my
surprise he provided an introduction to the play and also sang with the whole
group at the beginning and end. Check it out!
These gorgeous ladies got all dressed up to attend a fundraiser at Ashland Productions. I was supposed to attend, but Veronica really wanted to go and ended up taking my ticket.
And now I present to you the scenes from Finding Nemo Jr that Veronica appears in. She wears three different outfits in the course of this play, so keep your eyes peeled for her.
