Our Vera-bean turned 9 years old on Thursday. She really wanted to go to Build-a-Bear for a dragon named Toothless (from How to Train Your Dragon), so that's what we did.
Toothless is on the left:
Lucky Mr. Omri managed to snag a furry friend too thanks to special "pay your age" deal. Here he's giving it the hug test:
Some sort of stuffed animal heart ceremony happening here:
These two are so cute:
And now for the traditional birthday visit to Pizza Ranch:
Converted to black-and-white because the colors were awful in there:
Back home for a cupcake:
And another stuffed animal?!?
This one is a squishmallow from Grandma Linda:
It definitely passed the hug test:
Omri gifted V a new LOL Doll:
She was excited and grateful:
Omri was so happy to have pleased the person he admires the most:
Including this photo for Omri's face:
Happy birthday to this sweet, inquisitive, goofy girl:
We spent night at the hunting shack with Elise and Tyler again this year over MEA weekend. I had to work on Friday and missed out on some of the fun, but here's a look at what I did capture:
Omri auditioning for a role in Cottage Cheese Junior:
The girls discussing if Omri is IN or if he is OUT (spoiler alert: he is IN):
Veronica kicked off her birthday season with a cake:
We also acknowledged Omri's birthday because he hadn't had the chance to celebrate with Grandma & Grandpa F yet:
My aunt Linda made the cake.
It was stuffed with candy!
There was a bit of a dance party afterwards (because that's what you do at the shack). Here's a really short clip I grabbed:
Elise as Sweet Bread... this warms my heart because the idea for my original Bread Man character was actually born at the shack. I woke up in the middle of the night ~20 years ago to find my uncle asking people if they wanted some bread.
A walk with Omri the next morning... My little buddy ended up with a touch of pink eye--or was it just a pink eye? We don't know, but it went away pretty quick.
Cousins, enjoying breakfast:
Four wheeler rider:
And then it was back to work on their movie... Veronica and I have some editing to do first, but then we will post what they came up with.
Here's the group, minus my mom, who--perhaps wisely--chose not to spend the night:
Hello, family and friends. I started this blog to post photos and video of our little girl and little boy. If you are interested in having any of these printed, let me know and I can send you some higher resolution images. Thanks for visiting!
