Ziplining on St. Lucia

We went ziplining in the rain forest. The outfit took these photos from our adventure:

Veronica was a pro at this.

I was worried about Omri having the courage to do it, but he did great!

After a very long day of travel, including a four-hour flight delay and a twisty, loud (from the radio), open-windowed taxi ride from the south end of the island to the north, we arrived at The Landings resort.

It was after dark when got there, but we woke up to some beautiful, warm sunshine:

This was the porch off of the kids' room. There were horses grazing in the pasture:

The back deck was even better because it had this "plunge pool" on it...

...and a terrific view of the marina:

It was a comfortable place to stay. Sometimes we would just relax in the room and avoid the sun.

The beach on St. Lucia

We stayed at The Landings Resort & Spa, and the beach there was not so bad...

How is that for clear water?

The kids sure had fun.

The adults had fun too. R took the Hobie Cat out a few times. (I went with one of the times but didn't bring my camera.)

CC2: Biopic of Jack

This one has been brewing for a while, but I still ended up rushing it at the end so that I could leave you with a fun video before another quiet spell begins on the blog. I may add on to and/or tweak it in the future because the ideas keep coming!

More sledding and shredding with Omri

We had quite the exciting afternoon at the slopes last Sunday. There was a slush puddle at the bottom of the hill. The concept of sledding through it nagged at us until we were able to gather the courage to do it. We successfully went through it twice together (not captured on video) and then Omri did it twice on his own. He didn't quite make it past the lip of the pool on this run... but see for yourself:
