Christmas morning 2021
It was another fun Christmas morning! I sure enjoy watching these kids discover what is waiting for them under the tree when they wake up.
I was a little extra groggy this year, so I'm glad to have some video footage to help me remember these moments. As usual, I am only sharing the shorter version of the video, which hits the highlights and is not meant to be a comprehensive document of everything the kids opened.

Christmas Eve 2021
The first gift of Christmas:
Veronica got a new watch:
We had our traditional tamale dinner, watched The Polar Express, and walked around the neighborhood to see Christmas lights (in some unusually warm weather). It was a good night.

Leadbetter beach on 35mm
I recently got more film developed. Some of the results go back to our Santa Barbara trip from last spring. I've been posting shots on my MMLM Instagram account (and there's more to come), but here are a couple from one of our favorite places to hang out. My digital camera just doesn't capture tones like this...

Thanksgiving 2021
An unexpected COVID exposure brought us a little farther west than we originally planned for Thanksgiving this year, but we still had some great meals with some welcoming hosts.
Omri had a big battle going on with Uncle Nate's old car collection:
The next day we took an icy walk around the headwaters of the Mississippi:
We also spent a night at Grandma Linda's house. I did get a photo of her
with the kids, but again, that is on film and won't be developed for a
while!
These are some digital shots from a walk around that neck of the woods:
Thanks for having us! Read more...
