Harriet Alexander Nature Center

We took a walk at this nature center in Roseville last weekend:

What a nice day!

Veronica was not too happy to be there:

Brother and sister

I'll share our fall family photos sometime after our Christmas cards go out, but this one is kind of its own thing because it was the only one I shot on film:

Disney day 2

This time we visited Disneyland itself. We got there right when it opened (when the skies were still gray):

It was Omri's first time and he got a button:

Veronica wore the Mickey ears she got on her second trip:

She's been on Dumbo before too.

Omri on the carousel:

And then the California sun came out. We had ideal weather for a trip to a theme park.

The Haunted Mansion:

It's a Small World:

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad:

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage (formerly known as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea):

The walk to Space Mountain (now renamed as Hyperspace Mountain):

Veronica went on it twice, once with mom and once with dad:

A break for some ice cream...

... and a parade:

And then a quick stop at Toon Town:

They really got Momma with the ol' electrified door trick:

Seeing the Millennium Falcon was a highlight for me:

Land speeder:

We met Darth Vadar. He asked Omri if he wanted to join the dark side so they could rule the galaxy together, and the kid agreed!

I could have spent more time taking photos in Galaxy's Edge, but it was getting dark and we had too much to do!

On board the Falcon:

The Cantina:

What a day! Obviously there's a lot not pictured too. Now that I've been working full-time again and constantly distracted with things that need to be done, I've been appreciating dedicated family time like we had during this mini-trip. Thank you to R for planning it!

Disney California Adventure Park

R was out in Anaheim for a conference, so the rest of us flew out to join her. We spent our first day at Disney California Adventure Park (next door to Disneyland):

We met Mickey right off the bat:

The first ride we went on was called Soarin' Around the World. Here we were about to go over Niagara Falls!

My photos from the trip are a mix from my Canon, my iPhone, and ones taken by park employees.

Hard to tell where the illusion begins and reality ends:

Cars Land was a hit:

In line to meet Lightning McQueen!

A bit of a dream was realized here:

It took some convincing to get the kids on the Radiator Springs Racers ride, but they were happy they went:

It was surreal meeting Cruise Ramirez in this landscape:

Well-deserved award:

The ladies:

The guys:

Baguette break (and check-in on the Tamagotchi):

Viva Navidad street party:

Dinner at the Lamp Light Lounge was a win (seated right away, on the water, good food & drinks):

R and I each made it on the Incredicoaster, which was quite fun. Instead of a slow ride to the top of the drop, it blasts you up the incline.

Pixar Pier during the golden hour:

Maybe next time we hit the Guardians of the Galaxy ride???

Disney starts celebrating the holidays a little bit early:

These kids had such an exciting day!

Based on my photos, we spent a disproportionate amount of time in Cars Land:

By popular demand, we went back to the hotel early enough for a swim (and a hot tub):
