My dad and his hunting shack
I took a few HDR shots of the shack:
Here's a peak inside the place:
I'd say the grass needs to be cut:
Yeah, about that grass...
It was the first time I was out there in quite a few years.
Our trip to the hunting shack on Saturday served another purpose too: we needed to get my dad away from the house so my mom could execute a surprise birthday party for him. I didn't take a lot of photos, but it was a good time and he sure was surprised!
Love the matching sweaters:

State Fair exhibition
My photo titled "The Gilbert Laundromat" was accepted into the fine arts exhibition at the Minnesota State Fair. I'm honored (and a little surprised) to have it included among some seriously impressive, inspiring works of art.
Here I am with my submission at a preview event held at the fairgrounds Tuesday night.
If I had known it had a real chance of being accepted, I would have printed the photo larger and put more thought into the frame choice... things to think about for next year.

Grandma Linda attended the performance. He she is with the our little starlet:

CC2: Smooth One
Here's the aforementioned Cottage Cheese clip Veronica and I recently shot. I have 12 years of written material to draw from, so I'm hoping to continue making these for a while and will post each of them on this blog as they're completed. Then I'll eventually do some kind of compilation like I did for the original.
This is a good one because you meet some new characters, including BREAD GIRL! Some of you have been waiting a while for this.
It feels good to lighten things up after spending so long on the much more serious "Grind" project, which I wrote about recently on my other blog. I encourage you to check out that post if the film left you scratching your head. Read more...
